This is a recipe I got from my mom-in-law…the steaks are sooo juicy and finger-lickin’ yummy. The white sauce goes so well with the steaks and some soft dinner rolls will definitely be the cherry on the cake.
Here’s the host of things that you need and you can mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
Pound the chicken breast fillets with the help of flesh hammer like so:
This will flatten the fillet a bit and make it thinner. Flatten all fillets in this fashion and marinate them with the mixture made before for at least 2-3 hours. Grill them or fry in a pan without putting in any additional oil on medium-low flame.
Serve with white sauce. You can add a list of things like mashed potatoes, fries, dinner rolls, stir-fried veggies etc. on the side.
Here’s the recipe in detail:
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon mustard paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon crushed black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed white pepper
1/4 cup oil (preferably olive oil)
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon salt
Method: With the help of a flesh hammer, pound 3-4 chicken breast fillets (or 500 gms. undercut beef steaks). In a bowl add all the above ingredients and mix well with a whisk or fork till oil is fully blended. Mix well and marinate 4-5 chicken breasts (or beef steaks). marinate for 2-3 hours. Grill or fry in very little oil in non-stick frying pan. Don’t fry too much otherwise the moisture will not be retained.
For the white sauce:
saute two cloves of chopped garlic in a teaspoon of oil (in a saucepan). Add 2 tablespoons of white flour and brown it partially. Add 1-1/2 cups of milk and remove saucepan from flame. Whisk thoroughly. Put the saucepan on flame again and add a pinch of oregano, a pinch of black and white pepper each, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Cook till the sauce thickens. Add 2 tablespoons cream and lower the flame. Whisk. Simmer for a minute or so. Pour on steaks for serving.
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
Servings: 4-5 people (depends on number of chicken fillet)
